Green Beans with Caramelized Onions

Ingredients
- 1 lb green beans
- 3 ea red or vidalia onions, sliced
- 1/2 C chicken broth (as required)
- 1-2 cl garlic, fine chop
- 1 T olive oil
- 4-5 T Balsamic vinegar (as required)
Instructions
- Caramelize the onions in olive oil, then add the vinegar to taste.
- While the onions are cooking, sear the beans in olive oil in a separate pan until done - small batches works best. If cooking a large quantity, add the chicken broth after initial searing and cover until the beans are done. Pour off any remaining broth.
- Add the olive oil and garlic, toss until fragrant, and remove from heat. Season to taste.
- Plate the beans, garnish with the onions, and serve hot.
